Upcoming workshops you don't want to miss!

Build your own Japanese Stool

During this workshop, you will make your own stool using wood from Buurman’s shelves. You will work according to the design by Ishinamakilab, but variations are possible. You decide how deep and how long you want to make it.

Build your own winerack / mini table / balcony bar

Could your home use a side table? Or a wine rack? Or a bar for the balcony? Make it yourself at Buurman using circular wood. Everything is designed for the perfect drinks party!

Create your own garden box or plant table

In this workshop, you can get creative with the design, but you can count on expert guidance while building your own circular vegetable garden box, plant table, or vertical herb garden. And if you have ideas for the shape, we’ll help you brainstorm!

The day we launched Waste Alchemists: A platform for waste transformation

A look back at the Waste Alchemists launch event, where people met makers, created with waste, and experienced a different way of looking at this wonderful but underrated resource.

About Waste Alchemists

Our belief is quite simple: Why throw away something that still has value?

Luckily, there are creative makers everywhere who not only share this belief, but act on it every single day. Just like alchemists turning base metals into gold, these makers transform waste into awesome products. Bags from banners. Cutting boards from skateboards. Belts from bike tires. Their creations are not only useful, but also full of stories!

With Waste Alchemists we bring these inspiring stories on to one single platform. You can discover the makers, explore their products, learn new skills during their workshops/events, and join a growing movement that’s reimagining waste, piece by piece. In other words, we’re building the home for waste transformation. Curious?
